Richard Susskind är känd för sina böcker och förutsägelser om juristbranschens framtid. I sin nya bok fokuserar han på den förestående (?) övergången till digitala domstolsförfaranden.

Susskind är rådgivare till Englands och Wales Lord Chief Justice och har varit involverad i den reform som lanserades 2016 som bl a går ut på att digitalisera förfaranden i enklare mål. 2017 arrangerade han ett hackathon om digitala domstolar tillsammans med LegalGeeks Jimmy Vestbirk. Vann gjorde Wavelength Law och Legaltech.se:s podcastpartner Peter Wright, grundare av DigitalLawUK och numera chef för the Law Societys Policy and Regulatory Affairs Committee - som bl a arbetar med frågor om just digitalisering och access to justice.
- Online courts are likely to be the most significant development in our court system since the nineteenth century, enabling far greater and affordable access to justice. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the design of online courts, sade Susskind då.
